Three Muses from a distant island,
You came to visit me at last.
What did you bring me?
Roses?
Vibrant mimosa flowers?
Overcast,
your faces —
hidden in the mist.
Arising,
the wheel of joy,
the wheel of doom.
Inside, three chalices
comprising
Destiny’s famous
golden loom.
I see —
the everlasting cloth of Lahi
you weave from precious threads of time.
Anat, Tarumee, Awa‑aki —
I’ll walk upon the path of thine.
I’m grateful for the honor
you show me, sisters.
Please, don’t laugh.
Yes — I am completely honest.
I treasure it.
Sometimes the wrath of the unforgiving
breaks my unrelenting heart.
Still,
your offering —
from the beginning
Until the end —
will be my path.
As in Waite's deck, Smith's artistic interpretation depicts the three women holding golden chalices, dancing together in a circle. In Astore Faber's deck, this circular formation is presented as three orange chalices unified by a single driving force: the red wheel. Intense and vivid, it provides little space for intuitive insight and reason, symbolized by the blue triangle at the center.
The red enclosure possesses, controls, inspires, and encourages the social motives and inclinations of orange vessels. Meanwhile, the peach-colored waves of healing, the purple waves of universal meaning, the white descending beam - symbolizing purity of intentions, thoughts, and being - and even the yellow skies and clouds of dreams and fantasies remain in the background.
It is joy. It is a celebration. It is the rightful and deserved jubilee. And yet, something is missing.
Every card in Astore Faber's deck reminds us of life’s ongoing balancing act - of our persistent attempts to reconcile what we consider as positive and negative, creative and destructive - all the ebb-and-flow elements of our existence.
In Three of Cups, this "missing" element is the connection between what a core self - higher consciousness, our soul, and the priorities of physical existence: the pursuit of pleasant experiences and rejection of unpleasant ones. Reunification is inevitable. One may find oneself in a Three-of-Cups state of mind, fully aware of it, while universal priorities, lessons, questions, and paths recede into the background.
The moment is frozen only to melt away with the hand of a clock.
Take a deep breath and place the card before you.
Notice which element of the card draws your attention first.
Notice which element draws your attention second.
Close your eyes and observe how your mind processes information — see, recognize, visualize, understand, perceive.
Write down the ideas that arise — the interpretations closest to your heart.
Take a deep breath and focus on the essence of your question.
Notice which element of the card draws your attention first.
Notice which element draws your attention second.
Close your eyes and observe how your mind processes information.
Write down the ideas that arise, but this time interpret them through the lens of your question.
Ideally, the image should awaken the answers you seek. If it doesn’t, you may try again or choose another divination or reasoning method.

We all possess the answers we seek — even if we’re tired of hearing that phrase, it remains true. Those answers may be tiny flickers in the dark or bright as the sun. Sometimes, to understand the nudges and clues of our subconscious mind, intuition, the Universe, god, or the spirit world (whatever you prefer), we need a tool. Tarot — in this case, Tarot of the Fool by Astore Faber — can become that tool. It can help us awaken, clarify, or interpret those answers.
Still, tarot is just a tool — a way of playing with symbols and letting the mind speak in its own language. It’s not meant to replace professional guidance, medical or otherwise. If something in your life needs real‑world attention, please turn to someone qualified to help. The cards can offer insight, but the choices — and the responsibility — remain yours.
