"Oh, my, I cannot decide!
I cannot think of anything to dwell upon!
Nothing to stride along, nobody to rely on!
Oh, my, I cannot decide."
A clay pot of a poor sod speaks and sobs as his cheeks get wet with tears of uncertainty.
"I have a good life, don't I?
I have a blessed time on this Earth, don't I?
Yet a path lies before me, and I am frozen with doubt!
I hear them shout!
I hear them calling me!
Oh, my, I cannot decide!"
The flower will bloom within a quiet mind,
And you will walk the path.
You will decide.
Two of Wands is one of the most confusing cards in Astore Faber’s deck, and rightly so. It symbolizes confusion, indecisiveness, overwhelm, and stagnation.
The clay pot, the wands that seem to be attached to each other, the strange, entranced figure that resembles a clown — all these symbols serve as reminders of the fragility of our lives, ever‑changing circumstances, the eternal cycle of universal existence, and the complexities of navigating the unstable seas of existence, wildly adorned with pearls of occasional absurdity.
The colors expand these meanings and open the field of interpretation even further. Some may find this surprising, but in Astore Faber’s mythological system, brown is a color of healing — specifically, the final phase of a healing process. Orange is a social color, the color of collaboration and contact. Warm yellow represents socially oriented ideas, fantasies, and dreams. White is the absence of all interpretation, the clarity of intention. Blue reflects ideas inspired by universal wisdom. Warm earthly green connects us to the physical world, while emerald green expresses our attempt to find justice and balance.
Taken together, the symbolic images and colors — in all their apparent silliness — indicate that choice is not a single act but a union of all aspects of ourselves and the world around us.
Take a deep breath and place the card before you.
Notice which element of the card draws your attention first.
Notice which element draws your attention second.
Close your eyes and observe how your mind processes information — see, recognize, visualize, understand, perceive.
Write down the ideas that arise — the interpretations closest to your heart.
Take a deep breath and focus on the essence of your question.
Notice which element of the card draws your attention first.
Notice which element draws your attention second.
Close your eyes and observe how your mind processes information.
Write down the ideas that arise, but this time interpret them through the lens of your question.
Ideally, the image should awaken the answers you seek. If it doesn’t, you may try again or choose another divination or reasoning method.

We all possess the answers we seek — even if we’re tired of hearing that phrase, it remains true. Those answers may be tiny flickers in the dark or bright as the sun. Sometimes, to understand the nudges and clues of our subconscious mind, intuition, the Universe, god, or the spirit world (whatever you prefer), we need a tool. Tarot — in this case, Tarot of the Fool by Astore Faber — can become that tool. It can help us awaken, clarify, or interpret those answers.
Still, tarot is just a tool — a way of playing with symbols and letting the mind speak in its own language. It’s not meant to replace professional guidance, medical or otherwise. If something in your life needs real‑world attention, please turn to someone qualified to help. The cards can offer insight, but the choices — and the responsibility — remain yours.
